This means that if there are 1,000 guests on board, 50 of them may not be vaccinated. In case of an epidemic, the cruise line will make all necessary arrangements for quarantine, possible hospitalization and even medical evacuation.

Guests can purchase insurance through their own travel insurance company or through Carnival Vacation Protection. Carnival Cruise Line is waiving this requirement for children under 12, who may not be vaccinated.
Royal Caribbean has also made a move to offer a new service from 1. It’s a good idea for St. August to require insurance, but in Royal Caribbean’s case, the cruise line accepts both vaccinated and unvaccinated Florida customers, which is not the case with Carnival.
Moreover, in the case of Royal Caribbean, the measures are primarily designed to deter unvaccinated customers, which does not appear to apply to Carnival, which already has a vaccination requirement.

July left Miami.
Guests who have booked a Carnival cruise must also complete a health questionnaire and undergo additional testing prior to departure. This includes additional PCR and antigen testing prior to admission of unvaccinated guests.
