Disney Cruise Line has unveiled new details about the Disney Wish, a unique experience for children with life-threatening illnesses. The cruise ship will take place on January 2nd, 2019 and it is free for those who qualify.
The Disney Wish is a new ship that will be launched in 2019. It has been revealed that the Disney Cruise Line has released details about what to expect from this exciting new ship.
The Disney Wish, the fleet’s newest ship, is scheduled to set sail for the first time in summer 2022, according to Disney Cruise Line.
The Disney Wish definitely has our attention, with a dizzying array of firsts for the cruise line, including the first-ever Disney attraction at sea, new dining concepts so immersive they easily double as shows, and enhanced adults- and kids-only spaces that take Disney’s signature ability to please every kind of traveler to the next level.
We just received a sneak look at the most recent fresh information to be released. Here’s what we’re most enthusiastic about.

AquaMouse, Disney’s First-Ever Sea Attraction, Will Include Two Shows
At least two rides down the AquaMouse, the Disney Wish’s first-of-its-kind water attraction, should be included in guests’ boarding itinerary. The attraction, which is designed after Disney’s animated films “The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse,” will include two distinct animated shorts, giving riders on the 760-foot water coaster two different experiences.
Guests will watch either “Scuba Scramble” or “Swiss Meltdown” on screens inside nine “portholes” throughout the 75-second climb up a conveyer belt. Sixty various water effects synchronized to the video keep the surprises — and the soakings — coming until an exhilarating journey through tunnels hanging above the upper deck culminates in a peaceful finale in a lazy river.

Guests are sent on a multi-day quest throughout the ship in a new interactive experience.
The Disney Wish’s new multi-player, interactive experience, Disney Uncharted Adventure, is based on the ancient nautical tradition of wayfinding by starlight and builds on the ship’s themes of enchantment and wishes, ultimately asking, “If wishing upon a star makes your dreams come true, what happens when that star goes missing?”
Disney Uncharted Adventure, which is based on the Play Disney Parks mobile app, “enchants” your smartphone by turning it into a magical “spyglass” through which you may see beautiful Disney constellations and journey to many Disney tale worlds, ranging from Moana’s Motunui to the New Orleans swamp. Passengers are dispatched to various places aboard the ship where digital signs change into virtual game settings, such as Tiana’s kitchen or the beaches of Motunui, on missions to collect parts of the broken Wishing Star.
“While visitors will need a mobile device to participate, this is not a typical mobile gaming experience,” says the company.
Davey Feder, Walt Disney Imagineering’s software product manager, said as much. “This is a hands-on, interactive game that can be enjoyed with family and friends. The ship will be surrounded by enchantment. The spyglass isn’t where the adventure happens; it’s simply a tool for bringing the ship to life by creating gateways to other planets and enabling visitors to interact with them.”
Players follow instructions from their favorite Disney characters and collaborate to accomplish each mission, gathering fragments of the shattered Wishing Star. The game concludes on the final night of the trip at Luna, a family fun place by day and an adult entertainment center by night. Guests who have gathered parts of the Wishing Star during their voyage join together to reassemble the star in the night sky, but first must fight evil in an epic battle.
Guests may play Disney Uncharted Adventure on up to six devices simultaneously or share one or two devices at a time.

An Iconic Super Villain Returns in Marvel’s Worlds
Marvel fans should gather for this meal since “Avengers: Quantum Encounter” promises to be an immersive, interactive eating experience worthy of a superhero.
“Avengers: Quantum Encounter,” set within the sleek “Stark-itecture style” dining area, is “Disney Cruise Line’s most ambitious dining experience ever,” according to Danny Handke, senior creative director, Walt Disney Imagineering. “We’re creating a unique Avengers experience that will immerse our customers in the action via advanced technology and creative storytelling, something that has never been done before in a restaurant.”
The premise is that guests are attending a technology showcase hosted by Ant-Man and The Wasp, which will feature the latest advancements from WEB (Worldwide Engineering Brigade), the Wakandan Design Group, Stark Industries, and Pym Technologies, such as Captain America’s shield, Iron Man’s arc reactor, and Ant-Pym Man’s Particles. The major event is Pym Tech’s presentation of Quantum Core Technology.
Every table at the restaurant will be equipped with a Quantum Core, a “brand-new gadget that can make things to shrink and expand remotely” at the touch of a button, allowing customers to try out the technology for themselves. However, diners will not be the only ones eager to test out the new technology. We just discovered that legendary Marvel villain Ultron would arrive in the film, setting up a climactic battle that will require further assistance from Captain Marvel and Captain America.
Expect internationally creative cuisine inspired by actual and fictitious MCU locations like as Wakanda, Sokovia, and New York City on the menu.
Onboard the Disney Wish, there is a Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge (Photo via Disney Cruise Line)
The Hyperspace Lounge in Star Wars Is Hiding in Plain Sight
Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge, located just off the sweeping fairytale-themed Grand Hall, is the out-of-this-world watering hole Star Wars fans have been looking for, and Walt Disney Imagineers have figured out the perfect transition to take guests from Cinderella splendor to the far reaches of the galaxy.
Guests will enter via a golden archway into a blacked-out antechamber that Handke characterized as a visual “palette cleanser” before entering the Star Wars world through a pair of famous airlock doors.
The bar is designed to seem like a sleek, opulent lounge aboard a yacht-class space cruiser, inspired by Dryden Vos’ ship in Solo: A Star Wars Story and the opulent casinos and haunts of the wealthy and famous in Canto Bight in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”
While sipping creative cocktails and participating in interactive tasting experiences, guests may gaze out the space window behind the bar at the ever-changing landscapes. Sideways hyperspace leaps between worlds (only the second time in Star Wars history that a sideways jump has been seen) coincide with the Wish’s actual velocity and transport visitors to well-known Star Wars planets such as Mustafar, Tattoine, Batuu, and Coruscant.
Visitors should check out the “window” for Easter eggs like the Halcyon, the ship that guests will ride on when they visit Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, a new Star Wars hotel experience. Models of renowned spacecraft on exhibit in a holotube, curiosities gathered from around the galaxy kept in glass chambers, and in-story drink displays, ranging from beer taps fashioned like the home planets of the beers they flow to gilded bottles filled with unidentified spirits (no brand-name labels here!).
By day, families and children are welcome, and by night, the area turns into an adults-only retreat.
