Dream Hotel Group, the renowned hotel brand and management company behind Dream Hotels, Unscripted Hotels, The Chatwal, and the new By Dream Hotel Group brands, today announced plans to debut its iconic Dream Hotels brand in Louisville, Kentucky in 2025. The Dream Hotels brand is known for its vibrant dining, nightlife, and entertainment. Following the successful debut of Dream Nashville in 2019, the current agreement with Royal Investments, LLC represents the developer’s second Dream Hotel site.
What’s Hot Right Now
Dream Louisville will feature 168 beautifully designed guest rooms and suites, four original food and beverage concepts, including a signature restaurant, rooftop lounge, and 10,000 square feet of private meeting and event space, designed by Miami-based CUBE3 architects with interiors by Josh Held and WATG.
“We leaped at the chance to join with Alex Marks and his amazing staff to showcase Dream Louisville as the new jewel of Bourbon City,” said Dream Hotel Group CEO Jay Stein, citing the success of their cooperation in Nashville. “Louisville is one of the country’s fastest growing markets, and it’s an important addition to our expanding portfolio.” We are honored to be a part of what will be one of downtown Louisville’s most magnificent rehabilitations.”
“After launching the Dream Hotel in 2019, I set my sights on the next city that welcomed the same quality and excitement we offered in Nashville,” said Alex Marks, owner of Nashville-based Royal Investments, LLC. Louisville’s historic buildings on Main Street, only two hours away, provide the ideal environment for elevating an already vibrant and friendly city. Dream was on board from the beginning and swiftly got to work building a facility with world-class lodgings, great restaurants, and elegant entertainment experiences, all of which they’ve done before.”
Dream Louisville, which will be housed in the old Tapp Leather & Co. building on Whiskey Row, will honor the rich history and vivid pageantry of its birthplace, infusing new life into the 19th century institution. Dream Louisville will be made up of seven buildings located at 811-823 West Main Street in downtown Louisville, at the beginning of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, just steps from the famous Frazier History Museum, Mohammad Ali Center, and Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, and a short drive from Churchill Downs, the legendary racetrack and home of the Kentucky Derby.
Visitors may see the 1852-1905 Revivalist and Chicago School-style buildings and cast-iron stores, which were originally utilized as offices and warehouses for the tobacco and bourbon businesses, during a stroll along lively Main Street toward Whiskey Row. Restaurants, restaurants, distilleries, boutiques, and attractions such as the KFC Yum! Center arena and the Belle of Louisville Riverboats along the Ohio River are among the city’s burgeoning entertainment district’s highlights, drawing both locals and visitors from around the globe.
“We’re convinced that the Dream brand will become a focal point of the neighborhood and the city of Louisville as a whole,” said David Kuperberg, Dream Hotel Group’s Chief Development Officer. “Alex Marks and his team at Royal Investments have a fantastic synergy with us, and we’re excited to work with them again to bring our collaborative vision to reality on Main Street Louisville.”
“Dream Louisville will be a gamechanger for the market and the ideal complement to our expanding portfolio,” said Christian Glauser Benz, Dream Hotel Group’s Senior Vice President of Development.
