Intrepid Travel is an adventure travel company that specializes in small-group tours and offers trips worldwide. Its 2022 Tours are designed to help people make the most of their time by offering a sustainable, ethical, inspiring experience on five different continents. It will be adding 22 impact initiatives to its trips this year alone.
In order to provide Intrepid travelers with more opportunities for responsible travel practices, Intrepid Travel has created twenty-two new impact initiatives for its itineraries in 2022, experiences that directly support environmental or wildlife conservation, preserving Indigenous cultures, and supporting marginalized groups around the world.
Since its inception, Intrepid Travel has aided local communities and conservation projects, and the bulk of its excursions already include impact programs.
What’s Hot Right Now
Local Moroccan women are being supported by a new impact program at the community-run Tawesna teahouse, which provides them with cash so they can support their families. This event is available on four distinct Moroccan itineraries.

On the 15-day Best of Central Europe program, another new impact effort is a visit to a generation-bridging café in Vienna. Vollpension is a café that focuses on bringing young and elderly people together to learn from one another while also assisting elders in escaping poverty and loneliness. Travelers on this tour may stop by the café for a cup of coffee and a piece of cake while meeting locals and supporting Vollpension’s projects.
Impact projects don’t simply help communities all around the globe; they also help communities right here in the United States. Travelers who book the South Dakota Lodge Stay may learn about Lakota culture on a guided tour of the Heritage Center on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, which helps teach their tradition while also strengthening them economically. They’ll also be treated to a traditional Lakota meal.
“With the slow restoration of travel, the tourist sector is at a crossroads. “Companies like ours have a great opportunity, not to mention a duty, to discover additional ways to positively contribute to the locations and people we visit,” said Erica Kritikides, Senior Product Manager at Intrepid Travel.
“Through engaging, hands-on encounters, Intrepid’s sustainable, experience-rich form of travel enables people of all nations and backgrounds to connect.” We can jointly create a larger beneficial influence in our shared planet by being more thoughtful with the experiences we provide our tourists.”
