Neos Air is the first ever airline to be based in Italy. The company was founded by a group of Italian entrepreneurs, who have created a new model for the global aviation industry.
Neos Air is a global airline based in Italy. It was founded in 2004 and it has been operating since 2005.
Neos Air, the ‘new’ Italian airline that would replace the now-defunct Alitalia, has begun operations.
Neos Air is rapidly establishing a reputation for itself in global aviation, with the world’s youngest fleet of aircraft and long-haul flights on the Rolls Royce of airline equipment, the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
Neos Air flies to more than 50 destinations across the globe from four Italian hubs in Milan Malpensa, Verona, Rome Fiumicino, and Bologna.
Neos Air, in addition to transporting Italians across the globe, operates tourist flights to Italy, mostly from China, Israel, Iceland, and the United States, with a New York-Milan route just added to the itinerary.
Neos Air is a bit of an oxymoron when it comes to the term “new.” Neos Air began with a trip from Milan to Senegal in June of 2001. In October of that year, as the only Italian airline allowed to operate the route between Italy and Cape Verde, the airline began regular flights, followed by lines to the Canary Islands in August 2003 and to a number of major Mediterranean vacation spots in the summer of 2004.

Long-haul flights began in December 2004 and are now operated by six Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, the oldest of which has only been in service since December 2017.
Neos Air currently has five Boeing 737-800W (Winglet), four Boeing 737-8 Dreamliners, and six Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners in its fleet.
Its primary target is New York, which it reaches through a flight from Milan.
Neos Air will operate the flights, which will leave Milan Malpensa on two weekly frequency, using the world’s newest generation and most contemporary Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The new Boeing 787 Dreamliner offers a unique travel experience: greater comfort, more entertainment, bigger areas with less noise, and much more. The seats were created with ergonomics in mind, and they include more comfortable chairs that recline farther and provide more room.

The overhead compartments are significantly larger, with 30% more space than normal compartments, allowing you to keep your carry-ons close to your seat at all times.
Including better, the windows are 65 percent bigger than normal windows, allowing every passenger, even those in the center seats, to enjoy breathtaking vistas. The windows also feature smart glass, which allows passengers to choose from five different degrees of sunshine and visibility.
And, despite the fact that it is a long-haul trip, boredom is unavoidable, according to Neos Air.
All passengers, including adults and children, on the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner Neos Air have access to a cutting-edge personalized entertainment system. Movies, music compilations, gaming, flight and general information, shopping, and a bar are all available. From your seat, you may browse a shopping and bar catalog and buy essential things.

Every passenger may use this service at any time throughout the trip, ordering a drink, a snack, an espresso, or a toast to commemorate a particular occasion. The touch screen may be used to purchase a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as sweet and savory food. The cutting-edge service is an onboard new-generation broadband Wi-Fi internet connection.
The aircraft’s high-speed Wi-Fi connection (12 Mbps) allows you to stay in contact with friends, family, and coworkers. You may use it to make phone conversations, send text messages, post on social media, respond to emails, and listen to music, watch movies, and watch TV shows.
